squishy and mouse

I have a pet mouse named Fred.  He is my favorite of all my pets.  He resembled Dumbo with his big ears and his nose was as cute as a button.  You wouldn't think that a mouse would be a very good companion, but he was.  He listened to me and never barked when i was trying to tell a story, like how my dog Henry does.  He never hissed at me when I give him a hug like my cat Tuna does.  He's all in all a perfect pet.  He's a very resourceful and smart mouse.  He likes to lie on his back, pinch the cage door releaser, and push with his legs so he can be free. One day he got out and I was searching all over for him.  Suddenly I felt something squishy under my foot.  I looked down and  felt very sad as if the world was crashing down on my.  Fred was no more. At that time, there was nothing I could think of to take the empty space in my heart  that Fred left.

Suddenly I spotted a new mouse that had crawled out of its home in the wall. In a blink of an eye, an eagle swooped down through the window and snatched my new friend. The feeling of exuberance from finding the mouse drastically turned to sorrow, and looking for a new mouse was out of the question.  Time to go find a hamster.  Hamsters were a much more practical pet.  They were bigger so they were less likely to get stepped on.  I frantically started looking for a hamster to purchase.  I searched high and low under logs, bushes, and dumpsters when finally a thought hit me like an explosion.  I could just go to the pet store and buy a hamster!  So I ran as fast as I could to the first pet store I saw.  I burst through the doors and ran down every aisle. With every turn, dissapointment filled my heart.  There weren't any hamsters anywhere. With my head low, staring at the ground with pain from the inability to find a friend I left the store in sorrow. The pain got so bad I just wanted to cry, but I couldn't cry in public, so I sprinted to the door. I was almost out of the store when I slipped on some sand from the hermit crab cage.

BAM! My head smacked the hard ground like a baseball player hitting a ball and everything went black. When I woke up I was in the wild wild west and I was surrounded by cowboys and outlaws.  I had no idea why the cowboys and outlaws were fighting, but I was hoping that the cowboys would be victorious.  I caught a tumbleweed and hid behind it until all of the chaos was done.  I felt as if I was in an old John Wayne movie.  The cowboys killed off all of the outlaws and peace was restored.  I spoke to the cowboys about the fight and asked them where I was.  They told me I was in the year 2425 and that I was in Spain. They were fighting over the last of the pineapples.  The pineapple was soon to be extinct and there was a limited supply stashed in an underground chamber under the capital of Spain.  I asked, "Why are the pineapple's so important?"  The very handsome, strapping young cowboy responded, "Pineapple's have been found to have certain chemical that cure many diseases that used to be major problems in society.  Without Pineapple's we wouldn't be able to treat most of our sick."  I realized that if I was going to live here, I was going to have to adjust to life in 2425.
